Environmental Consultant/Engineer (position entails some travel)
Our Environmental team is looking to add another member to their group to take on inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint and PCB sealants as well as mold assessments & prepare reports based on findings. Occasional Project Monitoring may be required. Collaborate with architects and engineers to create abatement/remediation construction documents. Prepare site-specific variance petitions. Review submittals and provide clarifications during construction.
The candidate needs to be a problem solver and dependable and able to work independently. Experience working with NYS agencies (DASNY, SUCF, OGS) - not required but major plus.
There is a travel element to this position for short duration/overnight throughout New York State.
The right candidate will have current NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector & Project Monitor/Air Sampling Certifications, 5 years (minimum) of experience performing surveys for asbestos, PCBs, hazardous materials, etc. Have a working knowledge of NYS and Federal asbestos regulations.

Asbestos/Environmental Technician
Watts' Buffalo office is looking for an Asbestos/Environmental Technician. A qualified candidate is dependable, physically fit, has reliable transportation, as well as experienced in Microsoft Word & Excel software. Aspects of the position include:
- Air Sampling Experience: Collection of air samples before, during and after the completion of the asbestos abatement project. Complete a chain-of-custody form to accompany the air samples. Document air sample locations on a floor plan and deliver samples daily to the laboratory for analysis.
- Complete a daily project log detailing the actions/activities on work completed that day.
- Oversee the actions of the asbestos abatement contractor.
- Organize a closeout report that includes a summary of the work performed, the laboratory reports, sample locations and daily logs for insertion into the project report.
