Senior Ecologist (Buffalo Office)

The position includes communicating with state and federal regulators, guiding clients through complex permitting processes while also conducting the necessary field and technical work required to complete projects. The majority of the projects are located in western New York State and the successful candidate will be based in the downtown office in Buffalo. This position will require approximately 25 days per year in the field supporting local projects.

A strong candidate should have 5-15 years of experience and is looking to join a firm that conducts business at a reasonable pace, supports a healthy work-life balance and is willing to give up the challenge of out of town travel assignments common to this type of position.

Electrical Engineer (Buffalo)

We are looking for an electrical engineer to support the creation of design documents related to the design of building systems including electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communication systems for health care facilities, schools, and residential buildings.Prior consulting experience required.

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.Knowledge and working understanding of AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Work with Senior Engineers to perform electrical engineering design tasks including the production of electrical discipline drawings, schedules, and details.
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated previous experience and the ability to work on multiple assignments in a fast paced environment

Mechanical Engineer (Buffalo)  

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • NYS Professional Engineer’s License currently registered in NYS preferred;
  • 7 years minimum experience in HVAC/piping design (commercial/institutional/Higher Educational facilities/K-12 schools);
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently

Syracuse Office Openings

Asbestos Environmental Technician (Syracuse Office)

  • Conduct asbestos abatement air sampling and project monitoring, including oversight of asbestos abatement project activities, and maintain daily records of project activities;
  • Prepare asbestos abatement project closeout reports;
  • Conduct building inspections involving sample collection of suspect asbestos and PCB-containing materials, and/or lead based paint, as required by applicable regulations.

Project Level Environmental Consultant (Syracuse Office)

  • Experienced NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector and Designer. 
  • Engineering, Environmental, or Science related degree preferred, however, would consider person with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be comfortable interpreting NYS ICR 56 and other applicable regulations.
  • Individual must be independent, energetic, personable, highly motivated, and have solid technical, computer and organizational skills and the ability to work remotely in a satellite office.

New York City Office Openings

CIvil Engineer (New York City)

We are in need of an on-site consultant to a NYC-regional transportation-related agency.  The position is a full-time, as needed basis with assignments typically having a one (1) year term. Please click here to see if you meet the position requirements and apply with us today! 

Asbestos Project Monitor-Environmental Technician (New York City)

Some of the position responsibilites includes: 

  • Collection of air samples before, during and after the completion of the asbestos abatement project.
  • Complete a chain-of-custody form to accompany the air samples.
  • Document air sample locations on a floor plan.
  • Deliver samples daily to the laboratory for analysis. The samples are to be delivered directly to the laboratory, brought to the office or picked up by a courier.

Asbestos Investigator and Lead Risk Assessor (New York City)

Work involves mainly the performance of asbestos surveys and lead inspections/risk assessments, preparation of reports and filing of ACP forms with NYC DEP.

Some recommended qualifications include: 

  • Candidates with a B.S. degree in environmental sciences, geology or similar disciplines are preferred.
  • Additional certifications as a Project Monitor, Project Designer, and 40-Hour HAZWOPER are a plus.
  • Have at least two years of experience in the building hazmat inspection field.
  • Hold current NYC DEP asbestos investigator, NYS DOL asbestos inspector and EPA Lead Inspector or Risk Assessor certifications.
