Watts has four New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) certified Asbestos Investigators on staff.
Watts has four New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) certified Asbestos Investigators on staff. An asbestos investigator identifies the presence and evaluates the condition of asbestos in a building or structure. In addition to the licenses and certifications required by the NYS Department of Labor (NYSDOL), NYC regulations require a special certification in order to perform asbestos surveys within the five boroughs.
We have the required asbestos certifications to handle inspections and abatement design. Our staff is familiar with Industrial Code Rule (ICR) 56. We have performed over 1500 investigations for the presence of asbestos on transportation projects, in schools and universities, municipal buildings, courtrooms, public libraries and private corporations.
Watts has been providing asbestos consulting services in the greater New York City area since 1998 and we are ready, willing and able to assist architects and engineers with environmental concerns on renovation projects throughout the greater NYC area.
Watts is certified as a minority-owned business enterprise (MBE) through Empire State Development Corporation, New York City Small Business Services and the NY/NJ Minority Supplier Development Council.
