Hunt Street Bridge is Officially Re-Open
August 1, 2025
Connect by design.
On Friday, August 2nd, the Hunt Street Bridge crossing Bergholz Creek was officially reopened by Niagara County. Watts served as the primary consultant, handling tasks related to transportation engineering, bridge design, environmental assessments, and construction oversight for the project.
Tim Major, PE, one of Watts’ Senior Associates and lead designer of the bridge, was joined by Inho Chung, our Construction Inspector for the project, proudly attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. Tim’s design and Inho’s attention to detail are examples of complete integrity in action, and how responsible creation combined with a trustworthy team can truly connect by design. The group photo at the end is proof. Thank you both for a job well done!
Ruth Voelker, a strong advocate for the replacement of the structure, was the first person to drive across the new bridge in style in her ’56 Ford Thunderbird. Check out our social media pages for more photos of the opening and a full project write-up is coming to the website soon.
