 This week, we’re heading to SUNY Delhi to highlight the Evenden Tower and Applied Welding Lab ADA Upgrades.

Watts provided civil and site design services to support accessibility improvements and site upgrades across campus. Work included site utility improvements, paving reconstruction, and improvements to accessible routes.

One of the more unique site solutions was at the Applied Welding Lab, where an accessible entrance was needed. Instead of constructing a traditional ramp, Watts designed an alternate accessible route around an existing gazebo, making use of the available space while also creating room for bicycle racks.  

The project also included paving reconstruction near O’Connor Hall, MacDonald Hall, and Murphy Hall, along with evaluation of an existing retaining wall to help identify potential repairs and precautions during construction.
