Sustainability Consulting
Our team of accredited architects and engineers collaborate to guide our client partners through sustainable design development and construction planning on new builds and renovations. We carefully assemble project teams, including the integration of certified energy managers and building energy modeling professionals, to deliver the right mix of expertise, skills, and insight to meet the needs of each project. Working together, we evaluate each project holistically and assess the near- and long-term impacts of the decisions made in these early stages of project development. For instance, choosing features that may have higher initial costs (e.g. high-quality windows, increased insulation, etc.) may actually reduce building operating costs in the long run.
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Technology is driving architecture and engineering forward in a myriad of ways, and our team at Watts is helping set the pace by offering Building Information Modeling (BIM) to our client partners. This technology models the building (or buildings) in three dimensions, providing our architects and engineers with a powerful tool that can prevent conflict among various building systems. Additionally, it helps facilitate material counts for cost estimating and enables the creation of optimum plans and sections that incorporate the inventory of building components that are most appropriate for the specific project. These solutions optimize seamless communication and exchange of information, increase productivity, and deliver accurate design documents through a variety of software and hardware platforms that are known well by our fully trained team.
3D Imaging
Through deep knowledge of leading-edge software programs like Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, Lumion 3D, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and AutoCAD, our team at Watts creates photo-realistic renderings, conceptual and schematic images, 3D visualizations and models, and 3D model flythroughs that will bring your project to life. The use of imaging strengthens projects from concept design to construction completion, helping our team and yours envision what’s to come—not to mention illustrate the impact your project will make to stakeholders and on the surrounding community.
