Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation

As a firm with environmental roots, our team at Watts has great appreciation for how parks, recreational facilities, and historic buildings enrich a community’s shared quality of life and create a sense of place. Over the years, we have provided architecture, engineering, environmental, historical preservation, and master planning services to numerous parks within the state park system and to many other municipalities.

Collaboration is key—through years of experience, our team has become well-versed in working with the New York State Historic Preservation Office. We also routinely work with and adhere to the requirements of the New York State Historical Building Code and the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Standards to successfully restore, rehabilitate, and renovate buildings and landscapes of national, state, and local significance.
